Bressingham Steam & Gardens

Hertford, Lea Valley River Cruise & Cream Tea

Firstly we visit the historical county town of Hertford before driving to Ware to board the boat for a 2 hour round trip of the Lea Valley, where our skipper gives a very informative commentary.  Upon returning to Ware, we disembark at the Waterside Inn where a lovely cream tea is served, right on the banks of the river.

Kent & East Sussex Railway including Ploughman’s Lunch

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is a preserved steam railway from Tenterden to Bodiam and today we take you direct to Tenterden for some free time before joining the train at 1.15pm for a ride throughout the Kent Countryside in a period carriage whilst enjoying an inclusive ploughman’s lunch with tea and coffee.  On our return we board the coach and have a scenic drive towards home.

Jane Austen’s House & Winchester

Firstly we drive to the Cathedral City of Winchester, a mixture of excellent shopping and sightseeing, plus the added bonus of today being market day.  After time here we visit Jane Austen’s House Museum in Chawton.  This is the house where Jane Austen lived and wrote, revised and had published all her major works, including the timeless Pride and Prejudice.  Depart 5pm.

What better way to spend a summer’s day than a visit to the zoo.  Get up close to 100’s of nature’s finest animals, see giraffes, tigers, panthers, rhinos and lots, lots more.  Watch keeper demonstrations throughout the day, visit the fine gardens of Marwell House or take a train ride around the grounds (not included).  Whatever your fancy, Marwell is the place to be.  Depart 5pm.

Guildford & IONA Horse Drawn Barge with Cream Tea

Through the lovely Surrey Countryside we arrive at Guildford for some free time and the chance to grab some lunch, not too much though as in the afternoon we travel down to Godalming and take a horse drawn barge along the banks of the River Wey with a tasty cream tea to enjoy whilst indulging the tranquillity of the cruise.
