COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) IMPORTANT UPDATE  23rd March 2020

In line with government advice, to protect our staff and customers, Jay & Kay Coach Tours are closing the booking office until further notice. We urge you to heed the advice on social distancing and self isolation the government has asked you to do, please be responsible and stay safe.

We know a lot of our customers will be worried about the holidays and day trips they have booked with us. DO NOT WORRY, YOUR MONEY IS SAFE, WE ARE FULLY BONDED AND THE GOVERNMENT HAVE GUARANTEED OUR SAFETY. We are currently in negotiations with our hotels on re-arranging holidays and day trips where possible. When we get through this, and we will, we GUARANTEE we will be here to fire up our engines once again to take you on holidays and day trips.

We expect when able to do so, we will have a massive boom for our trips, as everyone will be so fed up of the measures we have had to endure. Those of you who have lost holidays and day trips will get priority on re-arranging and booking new trips. When it becomes apparent we can start taking bookings after this torrid period, our office staff will come back to work and begin the process of contacting the priority customers.

All our staff are being kept on by us for the duration, Jackie and I are so proud of all our wonderful staff, and thank them for the big effort they are making through this uncertain period.

Currently, we have postponed all trips until the end of April, it is likely this will also apply to all trips in May, when we get conformation from the government, we will contact all those customers affected.

PLEASE KEEP CHECKING OUR WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGE, WE WILL UPDATE WHEN REQUIRED.

Coronavirus – Latest updates for our customers

Update – 17th March 2020 | 09:00

The press conference by the Prime Minister, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer on Monday 16th March 2020 provided a range of public health advice, including time periods for self isolation for people showing symptoms (including their family members), social gatherings, home working and travel.

Advice regarding non-essential travel, however remains uncertain and unspecific. As such, we are awaiting further official guidance from Government departments, the Chief Medical Officer, the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) and the Coach Tourism Association (CTA).

In the meantime, we will continue to serve you our loyal customers at those hotels that remain open. The majority of our day trips are also continuing to operate. As you would expect, we are monitoring the situation constantly and carefully.

The wellbeing and safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance and all of our hotels, venues and coaches continue to strictly adhere to the guidelines of Public Health England, Scotland and Wales.

Our shop is experiencing unprecedented levels of enquiries and our advisors are unable to give any further advice on future travel until Government advice is updated. We therefore ask of customers booked for future travel to be patient during these times so that we can prioritise enquiries from current customers.

In these unprecedented times we thank all our loyal friends and customers for their support, patience and loyalty.

  • All UK holidays are operating as normal
  • All European holidays departing up until 30th April are no longer operating.
  • For European holidays in May and thereafter,  a decision will be made as soon as we have clarification on the situation, we will call all affected customers in departure date order

Here at Jay & Kay Coach Tours, the safety and health of our customers, friends and staff is always at the forefront of everything we do. As a result, we are monitoring the situation regarding Coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) very closely. We will always take our lead from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO), rather than speculative press stories.
