The Arnhem Best Western Plus Hotel
DAY 1 – Travel via ferry from Dover to Calais and continue onto our destination arriving in the afternoon.DAY 2 – The highlight of the trip is a visit to Keukenhof known as the ‘Garden of Europe’ it is the largest flower garden in the world. As 7 million flower bulbs bloom over 32 hectares, the park is awash with the scent of blossoming flowers. See the flower shows or maybe take a boat trip (not included) and delight in the statues dotted around.DAY 3 – Today we visit the gardens of Het Loo Palace which have been fully restored to a Baroque Dutch style garden dating back to the first residents King Stadtholder Willem III and his wife Mary Stuart II. The gardens are home to many sculptures of Gods and Goddesses from Greek Mythology which reflect the theme of growth and flowering of the gardens. The gardens are most famous for the magnificent fountains especially the Koningssprong fountain which spurts 13 metres high, the highest in Europe. We then go onto the beautiful market town of Apeldoorn.DAY 4 – today we visit the Netherlands Open Air Museum situated in woods local to Arnhem. The museum is housed in 44 hectares of land and includes buildings of differing historical periods, and demonstates different ways of life from years gone by.DAY 5 – After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our way back home via the Calais to Dover ferry Crossing.

3 Countries Christmas Markets
The fairytale setting of Valkenburg is the base for our trip to three countries and their Christmas Markets. With its distinctive illuminated caves and passageways, Valkenburg in Holland is quite unique. We also visit spectacular venues in Monschau, Germany and the beautiful Venice of the North, Bruges in Belgium.

The Valkenburg Walram Hotel
Hotel Walram is a stone building which is typical of the South Limburg region. The hotel enjoys a perfect location on the banks of the River Geul, a 2 minute walk from the centre of Valkenburg. A family run hotel offering a very warm welcome to all guests. All bedrooms for this holiday are fully en-suite superior rooms.
Day 1 – Ferry from Dover to Calais then onto Valkenburg for your 3 night stay.
Day 2 – A day at leisure in Valkenburg, a fashionable and fortified town situated in the unusually hilly Dutch province of Limburg. Valkenburg’s attractions include a castle, museums, numerous bars, cafes and the highlight of the tour – the Valkenburg Christmas Market. The little spa town of Valkenburg comes alive with the advent of its Christmas Markets with stalls uniquely located inside caves (please note there is a small entrance charge to enter the caves) which are protected from the elements and open late into the evening.
Day 3 – The Monschau Christmas Market is small but beautiful. In December 1999 the town received an award for being one of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in Western Germany. Throughout the weekend there are free and exciting programmes including live brass band concerts, a living manger at 3pm and 5pm and Santa Claus who visits Monschau’s Christmas Market in the afternoons and evenings.
Day 4 – Depart the hotel after breakfast and make your way into Belgium with a stop at Bruges. Medieval Bruges known as the Venice of the North has a beautiful setting and is host to one of the most famous Christmas Markets in Belgium, offering the best of winter products, Christmas gifts and warn gluhwein and snacks. We then continue onto Calais for your early evening ferry and home.
