Southend Fireworks

Arriving on Southend Seafront about 2pm you can spend the afternoon amongst the many attractions.  At 7.30pm the free fireworks display is scheduled to start.  After the fireworks have finished make your way back to the coach.  We arrive back home approx 9.30pm.

Arrive in the un-spoilt Cathedral City of Winchester for free time before your afternoon visit.  The Bombay Sapphire Distillery in rural Hampshire is a conservation area with over 1000 years of history.  The distillery showcases the care, skill and artistry behind every drop of Bombay Sapphire.  You’ll go behind the scenes of the Dakin Still House, where you can see the unique vapour infusion distillation process which makes Bombay Sapphire Gin so exquisite, before you enjoy a drink suited to your personal taste profile in the Mill Bar.  Depart 4.30pm, back home approx 7pm.

A day at the lovely Cathedral City of Chichester, with the weekly market now taking place in East Street and North Street.  After time here, we take a scenic drive through the South Downs National Park passing through pretty villages and towns along our route.  Arrive back home approx 6.30pm.

Ypres & The Last Post Ceremony – passport required

One hundred years ago on the 11th day of the 11th month the Great War was over.  Join us today as we travel to France on the Shuttle before crossing into Belgium and the historic Flanders town of Ypres.  Time is available to explore before we take a three hour tour around some of the numerous memorials and CWGC Cemeteries in the area.  After time for an evening meal (not included) we attend the Last Post Ceremony at The Menin Gate before returning home arriving back at approx midnight.

Tunbridge Wells Remembrance and Lunch at The Moorings 

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month exactly 100 years ago the war to end all wars finished.  During the journey we will stop at Tunbridge Wells where you will be free to join in at the Act of Remembrance and observe this very special two minutes silence.  Our journey then continues to Pevensey Bay for a three course lunch at The Moorings.  We make a relaxing return journey taking in some autumnal scenery arriving back approx 6pm.
