Chessington World of Adventures

The festival was voted “one of the World’s most interesting” last year by the New York Times. Held in Melton Mowbray, the rural food and pie capital of the UK, the festival has over 200 stalls, demonstrations, celebrity chefs, the finest gins, whiskies and other spirits from the local area plus entertainment throughout the day. Standing at the very edge of the garden of England, Broadstairs in brim-ful of nostalgic, old-world seaside charm, sandy bays, fishermen’s cottages and Charles Dickens connections to name a few. Depart 4.30pm.

Brighton is an iconic seaside resort with a wealth of attractions to keep you amused all day long. Depart 4.30pm.
Frinton on Sea – seaside special week
With a reputation as an exclusive resort, Frinton retains an atmosphere of the 1920/30’s. Tree-lined avenues sweep down to the elegant esplanade and cliff-top greensward, with its many colourful Victorian-style beach huts, reminiscent of the days when the town was a retreat for the aristocracy and even royalty. Depart 4.30pm.
Herne Bay & Whitstable – seaside special week
Two of Kent’s most popular seaside resorts, firstly the lovely quaint Herne Bay, then the afternoon at Whitstable, famous for superb seafood, especially oysters. Depart 4pm.
Strictly Tea Dance
The Strictly Tea Dance takes place on board the air-conditioned Tereza Joanne, a large venue boat moored in the Royal Docks. The three and a half our event, part show and part get-up-and-dance, is hosted by comedian and impressionist Chris Wheeler, with a showcase of Ballroom and Latin dance presented by professional dancers Kerry Tite and Johnathan Reed. The price includes savoury canapés on arrival, a classic afternoon tea and limitless tea and coffee. Depart 4pm

Polhill is a lovely garden centre with a huge variety of shopping with an excellent restaurant. Depart 4.30pm.
Knit & Stitch Show at Alexandra Palace
The Knitting & Stitching show is for anyone with a love of textile based craft. The Autumn Show at the iconic Alexandra Palace is the biggest textile event in the UK, with hundreds of workshops, demonstrations, interactive features as well as over 300 exhibitors selling specialist craft supplies. Spend a day re-stocking your yarn, and having a good yarn with many of the exhibitors, there has never been a better excuse to get involved! Depart 4pm.
Chippenham Park Gardens
The beautiful gardens are an ‘Anglo Dutch’ landscape comprising canals, park, woodland and formal gardens, stretching over 40 acres. In the afternoon we spend a couple of hours in the enchanting Cathedral City of Ely. Depart 4.30pm.

Canterbury Market is our morning venue and setting down in the city centre you have some free time to search for those bargains. Then at 12.15pm we rejoin our coach and head for Plucks Gutter and the ever popular Dog & Duck for a filling lunch and some afternoon entertainment. Depart 4pm.

The elegant city of Oxford, known as the City of Dreaming Spires, has plenty of good shopping along with the magnificent sightseeing the city is world renowned for. Depart 4.30pm.
Transportfest at Brooklands Museum
Join us for the annual Transportfest which this year, includes a special emphasis on commercial vehicles as well as the extensive bus displays and rarely-seen early examples of taxis, military & emergency vehicles. There will be horse bus rides (extra charges apply), heritage bus trips, a collector’s market, live music and children’s attractions. This event is not just for transport enthusiasts, but fun for all the family as well! Depart 4pm.
Dagenham Sunday market has over 600 stalls selling just about everything you can think of. A great venue for adding those Christmas gifts you’re always looking for. Depart 2pm.
St Ives on Market Day & The Cathedral City of Ely
St Ives is a beautiful historic town on the river Great Ouse that offers a fascinating river-port heritage along the waterfront, alleyways and market place, and a great range of independent shops plus a recently renovated museum. A shoppers delight today as we visit the county town of Maidstone on market day before an afternoon visit to the excellent Ashford Outlet Centre. Depart 4.30pm.

Winchester on Market Day (with courier service)
An unspoilt Cathedral City on the edge of the South Downs, Winchester is England’s ancient capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great. Popular for its bustling shopping streets and well-known for the cathedral and Great Hall which for over 700 years has housed the mysterious King Arthur’s Round Table. Depart 4.30pm.
A firm favourite now with our clientele, we arrive in the afternoon with time to enjoy the many amusements on offer before watching the superb firework display. Depart 30 minutes after the fireworks have ended.
Autumnal New Forest (with courier service)
The New Forest is simply stunning at any time of the year but with the autumnal colours our tour is a pure delight, slowing driving through the Forest and visiting Lyndhurst and Burley in particular. Depart 4pm.
Kent Battle of Britain Museum & Folkestone
Considered to be the most comprehensive and longest serving Battle of Britain Museum in the UK. Full of amazing displays, memorabilia and artefacts from around 700 crashed aircraft from the period. It also features a shop where CD’s and audio cassettes recorded and donated by Battle of Britain Pilots can be bought. After our visit we go on to the revitalised coastal town of Folkestone. Depart 4.30pm.
Chichester on Market Day & Countryside Drive
Firstly we visit the lovely Cathedral City of Chichester with its high street market taking centre stage before embarking on a scenic, colourful autumnal drive across the impressive South Downs National Park. Depart Chichester at 2.30pm for countryside drive.
Rye & Tenterden
We take a pleasant, scenic drive through the High Weald to view the wonderful autumnal colours on our way to the medieval town of Rye, which is also market day. After time spent here, we take a short drive to the ‘Jewel of the Weald’, Tenterden, with a fascinating history, wealth of architecture and excellent shopping. Depart 4pm.
