Blenheim Palace Classic & Super Car Show

Set in the grounds of this stunning country house, The Great Court will be packed with 80 privately owned supercars, while the surrounding parkland hosts the Bentley Drivers Club 2019 Concours D’Elegance, with 1,001 Bentleys and 500 privately owned super & classic cars on display.  Your entry ticket also entitles you to enter Blenheim Palace.  Depart 4.30pm.

John Pinkerton Canal Cruise

In the morning our first port of call is Dorking and after time there we travel on to Farnham.  In the afternoon, we enjoy a 2½ hour cruise from Odiham in the peaceful surroundings of the Basingstoke Canal aboard the John Pinkerton II.

Sunday 15th

Waddesdon Manor

One of the National Trust’s most visited properties, located in the Aylesbury Vale, this Grade I listed house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild as a weekend residence for grand entertaining and as a setting for his collection.  The house and its contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1957.  Admission to House and Gardens included.  Depart 4.30pm.

This picturesque village on the banks of the River Beaulieu in the heart of the New Forest is our first destination, where we will also enjoy a short river cruise.  After, we take a scenic drive and head for the ‘capital’ of the New Forest, Lyndhurst.

Kentish Lady Cruise with Fish & Chips

Firstly we spend time in the county town of Maidstone before boarding the Kentish Lady for a beautiful, scenic cruise along the River Medway, with a traditional fish & chip lunch served on board.

Tuesday 17th

Essex & Suffolk with Lunch at The George Inn

We visited The George Inn last year as part of our Monthly Lunch Club excursions.  Due to overwhelming success of the day, we have decided to recreate the day out.  Firstly we visit the oldest town recorded in the country, Colchester, with over 2000 years of history.  After time for sightseeing or shopping we then head to Hadleigh in Suffolk and The George Inn for a delicious lunch.  After lunch, we take a short drive to the superb medieval town of Lavenham.  Depart at 5pm.

Thursday 19th

Kent & East Sussex Railway including Ploughman’s Lunch

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is a preserved steam railway from Tenterden to Bodiam and today we take you direct to Tenterden for some free time before joining the train at 1.15pm for a ride through the Kent Countryside in a period carriage whilst enjoying an inclusive ploughman’s lunch with tea & coffee.  On our return we board the coach and have a scenic drive towards home.

Secret gardens of Sandwich & Cream Tea at The Walpole

Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1912, the Secret Gardens of Sandwich are a plant lovers paradise.  Within the gardens sits the Salutation Hotel, a Grade I listed building.  After our morning in Sandwich we depart for Cliftonville and the Walpole Bay Hotel built in 1914, a talk on the history of the hotel and a chance to view the museum as well as a delicious cream tea is included.  Depart at 5pm.

Romney Rambler Including Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway

Our day starts with a morning break in the charming town of Tenterden before crossing the Isle of Oxney to Rye where we have time for lunch.  Later we meander around the marsh as we make our way to New Romney and the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway where time is allowed to browse before boarding the train to Hythe to rejoin our coach.

Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show

The roar of Merlin engines will fill the air as historic aircraft take to the skies above this important RAF flighter station, famous for defending Great Britain during the Second World War.  Step into Duxford’s remarkable past as the museum, hangars, airfield and showground is transformed for the weekend.  Depart after the display finishes.
