After 20 years offering you a multitude of holidays in the UK and Europe, this year we are offering one of our most compelling holidays we have ever undertaken, a magnificent 12-day tour of Britain. We stay at four quality hotels, the Celtic Royal Hotel, Caernarfon, the Riverside Hotel, Kendal, the glorious Dunkeld House Hotel, Perthshire and the excellent Tankersley Manor Hotel and Spa. A superb itinerary has been collated, which includes the days travelling between each hotel. The scenery on this tour will be scintillating with excursions in Snowdonia, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, the Scottish Lochs and Southern Highlands. Add to this the great attractions of the little trains of Wales, lake cruises, castles, palaces, gardens and many more interesting towns, cities and villages along the way, this holiday will create memories never to be forgotten.

Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 | We embark on our Grand Tour of Great Britain, making our way to Caernarfon and the excellent Celtic Royal Hotel for a three night stay in North Wales, arriving late afternoon. |
Day 2 | We take a scenic trip on a “Little Train of Wales” from Caernarfon to Beddgelert, a charming village in Snowdonia. After time here we board the coach for the short journey to the picturesque Glaslyn Estuary resort of Porthmadog. |
Day 3 | We visit the ever popular seaside town of Llandudno, the premier resort of North Wales. Following time here we again head for the stunning scenery of Snowdonia National Park with a visit to Llanberis via the beautiful pass. |
Day 4 | We depart our hotel and head towards the Cumbrian town of Kendal and the Riverside Hotel. En-route we will visit the medieval city of Chester, close to the border. From here we travel to Bowness on Windermere for a cruise on the famous lake before departing for the hotel arriving late afternoon |
Day 5 | We take a wonderful scenic tour, exploring the beauty and charm of the famous Yorkshire Dales, which includes a visit to the Wensleydale Cheese Experience. |
Day 6 | A free day to relax or explore the beautiful town of Kendal. |
Day 7 | We depart Cumbria and travel further north across the border into Scotland, heading for beautiful Perthshire, and a four night stay at the Dunkeld House Hotel. En-route we will visit the famous Gretna Green before stopping in the historic city of Stirling. We reach our hotel late afternoon. |
Day 8 | A full day beginning with a visit to the town of Perth, with time to explore or alternatively a visit to the recently re-opened Perth Museum. Following a £27million redevelopment, the Perth Museum is worth a visit as it now houses the Stone of Destiny, also known as the Stone of Scone, brought back to Perth from Edinburgh Castle. You can learn about the stone and many more artefacts before we travel to the famous Scone Palace, the crowning place of Scottish Kings, including Macbeth, Robert The Bruce and Charles II. |
Day 9 | We embark on a 100 mile round trip embracing stunning scenery, with a stop at Aberfeldy. From here we drive the length of Loch Tay before a stop in Killin at the head of the Loch, close to the beautiful Falls of Dochart. Our next destination of this scenic drive takes us via the banks of Loch Earn to Drummond Castle Gardens, one of the most important and finest in Scotland, dating back to the 17th century. After time spent here we make our way back to the hotel via more beautiful scenery. |
Day 10 | Another fantastic day out begins as we visit Blair Castle and gardens. The home of the Duke of Atholl, chief of the Clan Murray, who is the only person in Europe to have his own private army called the Atholl Highlanders. Following our visit to this impressive attraction, we make our way to witness the Queens View, Scotland’s most iconic vista, overlooking Loch Tummel before spending time in Pitlochry. |
Day 11 | Sadly, we depart this wonderful area and make our way to Yorkshire for our overnight stay, with a lunch stop in the pretty border town of Moffat. |
Day 12 | Our final day of this epic tour begins with a visit to Rutland Water for a cruise on the lake before time in the market town of Stamford. Arriving back at Hall Place late afternoon. |
CELTIC ROYAL HOTEL- CAERNARFON- 3 nights | The Celtic Royal Hotel is a venue steeped in history and gets its Royal name from Princess Victoria, when she visited the original main building in 1832, 5 years before she became Queen Victoria. It is situated in the historic town of Caernarfon. The world famous UNESCO Heritage site of Caernarfon Castle is just a few hundred yards away, a sight not to be missed, especially when the Castle lights up in a splendour of colour under the night sky. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and include a shower cubicle or a shower over bath. Other facilities include free Wi-Fi, tea & coffee tray, hairdryer, toiletries, TV and safe. The hotel also offers an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. |
RIVERSIDE HOTEL- KENDAL- 3 nights | The Riverside Hotel is a historic hotel nestled on the banks of the River Kent in Kendal. Situated just 20 minutes drive away from Lake Windermere, it’s the perfect location to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. From the hotel, it’s a short stroll into the centre of Kendal, a historic market town with vibrant cafés, shops, museums and galleries. The Riverside Hotel offers 58 beautiful en-suite rooms, most of which enjoy lovely views over the river. DUNKELD HOUSE HOTEL- PERTHSHIRE - 4 nights | The Dunkeld House Hotel is a four star luxury country house and sits on 280 acres of well maintained and natural woodland overlooking the wide and fast flowing River Tay, renowned for its famous salmon fishing.
