Peak District – Derbyshire

The magnificent scenery of the Peak District led this to be the first designated National Park in England. Covering 555 square miles in the heart of England the Peak District reaches into five counties. Over a third of the area is protected for nature conservation and the mosaic of landscapes support an abundance of plants and animals. People have lived here for over 10,000 years, shaping the landscape and leaving a wealth of cultural history. This holiday allows you to explore some of the country’s most spectacular scenery, with a visit to one of Britains most loved historical houses, Chatsworth and its beautiful gardens. Also included is a quirky visit to the Buxton Crescent Experience along with a visit to Matlock Bath which was once described as “Little Switzerland”. A truly wonderful holiday awaits.
