The Mercure Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa, Shrewsbury, is set inside a beautiful 18th century Manor House, boasting 15 acres of landscaped grounds and a picturesque ornamental lake. This 300-year-old hotel has 87 guest rooms which include kettle/coffee machine, free in room mineral water, mini refrigerator, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, telephone, radio and a safe. In the Lakeside block, where most rooms are located, a lift serves all floors. However, please note that if you have mobility issues, please can you ensure that you are allocated a room within the Lakeside block when booking as other rooms can be as far as 100 yards from the main building and involve steps for access. Guests can sit down to dinner in the Oak Room Restaurant, which serves seasonally inspired dishes in an elegant yet relaxed setting. Those looking to unwind and relax with a drink can do so in the 1630 Bar. Hotel guests are invited to make use of the leisure facilities and spa, which features an indoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, plus steam and sauna experiences in the thermal suite. Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 | Depart Hall Place and travel to our hotel in Shropshire with comfort stops en-route. |
Day 2 | After breakfast we make the short journey into Shrewsbury for a cruise on the River Severn. Following the cruise we spend time to enjoy this pretty medieval town. |
Day 3 | Today we visit the market town of Oswestry followed by a visit to the magnificent British Ironwork Centre. An award-winning attraction, famous for incredible art and extensive sculpture parks. It’s the UKs largest collection of decorative metalwork, national projects, and beautiful finds from all over the world. Comprising of over 70 acres of sculpture parks, walking trails, extensive shopping, & a café, the Ironworks has so much to explore. |
Day 4 | A journey across the border into Wales today in order to visit the imposing Powis Castle. This medieval castle, originally built as a fortress, houses one of the most beautiful and extensive collections of treasures from India. Stretching out beneath the medieval castle is one of the finest gardens in Britain. With dramatic terraces, an Orangery, an Edwardian formal garden and a peaceful wooded landscape, there is so much for you to explore. |
Day 5 | Unfortunately, after visiting such wonderful attractions, it’s time to head home. |
