There’s nothing quite like a holiday at the seaside, and Blackpool is one of the best beach resorts you will find in the UK. It was even recently awarded its first ever Blue Flag, putting it on par with other world renowned sites. Why not relax on the beach, take a dip in the sea or enjoy an ice cream along the promenade in Blackpool. Of course, Blackpool is also the only British beach resort to boast three fabulous piers, so don’t forget to pay these a visit as part of your holiday. Famous for its Golden Mile which boasts the Great Promenade Show! A giant mirror ball will leave you reflecting on an aesthetically pleasing stretch of rejuvenated promenade at South Beach. It’s part of the Great Promenade Show where some of the country’s top artists and designers have created two kilometres of gob smacking sculptures and lighting. It’s certainly a break from the norm for Blackpool, but one that has gone down a storm with visitors. Mixing with the old school seaside resort, Blackpool’s gone all continental with its own Spanish-style Steps. When in Blackpool, do as the Romans do! Walk a little further down the beach, past Sea Life Blackpool and Madame Tussauds, and you’ll reach the central pier. Its most striking feature is its 108ft high ferris wheel, which gives you a unique perspective of Blackpool and affords superb views across the Irish Sea. As you can see, there are plenty of exciting ways to keep yourself occupied along Blackpool’s brilliant beaches. The only question is, how will you fit everything in?
The Strand Hotel
For 2021, we are operating our Blackpool Illuminations tour for the first time to the Strand Hotel.
Purchased in January 2020, the hotel is family run by the new owners who used to own the Manhattan Hotel, they are well versed and excellent at looking after coach parties. Mary kept the hotel closed for 8 months to undergo a beautiful top to bottom refurbishment.
The hotel is located on the Promenade on the North Shore, with excellent sea views from the dining room and lounge.
We are pleased to be able to offer you this holiday, with Mary and her family owning and running a hotel again.
