There’s nothing quite like a holiday at the seaside, and Blackpool is one of the best beach resorts you will find in the UK. It was even recently awarded its first ever Blue Flag, putting it on par with other world renowned sites. Why not relax on the beach, take a dip in the sea or enjoy an ice cream along the promenade in Blackpool. Of course, Blackpool is also the only British beach resort to boast three fabulous piers, so don’t forget to pay these a visit as part of your holiday. Famous for its Golden Mile which boasts the Great Promenade Show! A giant mirror ball will leave you reflecting on an aesthetically pleasing stretch of rejuvenated promenade at South Beach. It’s part of the Great Promenade Show where some of the country’s top artists and designers have created two kilometres of gob smacking sculptures and lighting. It’s certainly a break from the norm for Blackpool, but one that has gone down a storm with visitors. Mixing with the old school seaside resort, Blackpool’s gone all continental with its own Spanish-style Steps. When in Blackpool, do as the Romans do! Walk a little further down the beach, past Sea Life Blackpool and Madame Tussauds, and you’ll reach the central pier. Its most striking feature is its 108ft high ferris wheel, which gives you a unique perspective of Blackpool and affords superb views across the Irish Sea. As you can see, there are plenty of exciting ways to keep yourself occupied along Blackpool’s brilliant beaches. The only question is, how will you fit everything in?
The North Shore Hotel

Relax in the sea view bar and dine over-looking the sea from the restaurant. You’ll find a variety of facilities on offer including a comfortable lounge with pool table and a bar which features live entertainment every night. Blackpool town centre is just a short walk away, as is the famous Blackpool Tower and Ballroom, Central Pier and the rest of the seaside attractions the town has to offer. For a more exhilarating experience the Pleasure Beach is by the South Pier with a multitude of roller-coasters and fairground rides for all the family. Autumn evenings see the illuminations bring the town to life at night with miles f lights and attractions to see. And don’t forget that our October break includes a trip through the world renowned Blackpool Illuminations. An absolute must.
