Holiday Itinerary
| Day 1 | We begin our journey to Caernarfon and our overnight hotel. |
| Day 2 | We board the ferry to Ireland then make our way across the country with stops at places of interest en-route to our hotel. |
| Day 3 | Bunratty Castle and Folk Park offer visitors a window into Ireland’s medieval and early 20th century past. From the 15th century medieval castle to Bunratty Folk Park which features over 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village and rural setting. Farmhouses, village shops and streets are recreated as they would have appeared back in the early 1900’s. |
| Day 4 | Today we travel along the Wild Atlantic Way to Doolin Pier where we board the Doolin Ferry, which takes us from Doolin to Inis Mór. On arrival on the magnificent Inis Mór, the largest of the Arran Islands, we embark on a minibus tour with a local guide. Having some of the most spectacular cliff coastline in Europe and home to over 50 monuments of Christian, pre-Christian and Celtic mythological heritage. This afternoon, we board our return ferry back to Doolin Pier, before setting sail again for a stunning 1 hour cruise under the iconic Cliffs of Moher, which rise to a whopping height of over 700ft at their highest point. |
| Day 5 | We head to The Burren Centre, considered to be the gateway to the region and The Cliffs of Moher, to learn more about this limestone paradise on the Wild Atlantic Way. Featuring the largest expanse of limestone pavement in the world and recognised as a UNESCO Geopark. This afternoon we have the delight of a visit to the hidden botanical gem of Vandeleur Walled Gardens set in 170 hectares of native woodland. From the winding treelined avenue to the beautifully restored and crafted colourful, formal gardens, there is much to admire in this effective tribute to Ireland’s rich and natural history. |
| Day 6 | We make our way back across Ireland to Dublin for our ferry then onto the Celtic Royal for our overnight stop. |
| Day 7 | Our final journey on this memorable holiday as we head for home. |
