A warm welcome awaits at Canterbury Christmas Market which is set right in this beautiful, historical city known for its Cathedral, Archbishop and medieval streets. UNESCO has granted world heritage status to parts of the city, including St Martin’s Church, St Augustine’s Abbey and the Cathedral. Canterbury is also famous for the Plum Pudding Riots, when in 1647 the mayor of Canterbury dared to try and cancel Christmas! The Christmas Market’s footprint covers the city’s streets that run through Whitefriars Shopping Centre and St George’s St. With more than 60 colourful huts and several artisan market place zones, a delightful selection of festive food and drink options, live entertainment and lots, lots more.
