Firstly we enjoy a countryside drive to our lunch venue, The Swan in Forest Row, where we enjoy a one course festive meal. After lunch, we are transported to the magical world of Glow Wild, Wakehurst’s award-winning lantern trail. As darkness falls, journey through the wild botanic landscape in Sussex adorned with over 1000 beautifully hand-crafted lanterns. Inspired by the enchanting world of trees, witness extraordinary sights and listen to secrets unfold around the flickering fire. Glimpse the world from a tree-top canopy or marvel at glistening filaments beneath your feet then pause to gaze at serene lakeside reflections. Alongside the much loved Glow Wild regulars such as the iconic moon and stars, the UK’s tallest living Christmas tree and cheeky Percy the Peacock, you’ll also meet new awe-inspiring creations to fill you with wonder and make lasting memories. Refuel along the route with seasonal delights including hearty hot food, festive drinks and delicious hand-made marshmallows to toast around the fire. Please note that the trail is around a mile long with uneven paths and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
