ROYAL WINDSOR
Travel to Windsor and join our Blue Badge guide for a tour of the magnificent Castle. There will be time to buy refreshments beneath the castle walls before stepping inside the late Queen’s favourite residence. You will also visit St George’s Chapel which has been the scene of so many Royal family and ceremonial events and is also where you will see the resting place of HM Queen Elizabeth II along with another ten monarchs buried in the chapel. The State Apartments are hung with paintings from the Royal Collection – Rembrandt, Rubens, Canaletto and Gainsborough. George IV’s private apartments known as the semi-state rooms are also open for your visit. They are among the most richly decorated interiors in the Castle. After lunch (not included) we board the coach for a look at the Royal landscape including views of the castle from the Long Walk.
