The Barony Castle Hotel
Built in 1536, Barony Castle is set in 25 acres of beautiful countryside just north of the historic town of Peebles in the village of Eddlestone. The hotel has 82 welcoming bedrooms offering many home comforts, all with differing views across the glorious estate and glen. Relax in the Bar Lounge with a dram from the extensive range of malt whiskies. The leisure spa includes a lovely pool with whirlpool bath, sauna, heated loungers, two beauty treatment rooms and a gym.

Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 | We make our way to the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Lancashire, with a visit to either the city of Coventry and/or the charming town of Nantwich, dependent on time and traffic. OVERNIGHT BAG REQD. |
Day 2 | As we make our way to the Barony Castle, we firstly visit Kendal in the Lake District. We then proceed north through the Lake District National Park to the attractive town, across the border, of Moffat. |
Day 3 | Today as we are in the Borders, we visit the beautiful borders town of Kelso on the banks of the famous river tweed, where it meets the river Teviot. After time here we travel the short distance to the resort of Berwick upon Tweed, which has been governed by England & Scotland through history |
Day 4 | A morning visiting the superb Great Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels before spending the afternoon in the gorgeous town of Peebles. |
Day 5 | A beautiful scenic drive through the Pentland Hills today as we head for the capital city, Edinburgh. |
Day 6 | We head to our overnight hotel in the North East with a visit to the pretty town of Jedburgh before driving through the Northumberland National Park to the “Land of the Prince Bishops” Durham. OVERNIGHT BAG REQD. |
Day 7 | Sadly, we head home, but not before a visit to the beautiful market town of Stamford. |
