Henley-on-Thames is one of the most beautiful towns in England and is internationally renowned for its annual Regatta. But Henley is far from a one event town. Situated in a perfect riverside location, surrounded by a Chiltern landscape of wooded hills and green fields, it lends itself to relaxation, long lunches and quirky shopping. There’s a pub where Charles I drank, a Chantry house, a butcher that smokes his own meat and independent shops still offering the personal touch. After some time wandering the town, we board our boat to explore the beauty and history of the River Thames from the luxurious, glass encased saloon of Hibernia! This trip is led by an experienced and friendly Blue Badge guide, who will provide insightful and entertaining commentary as you cruise along the river. On board you will receive a delightful afternoon tea and a cash bar is available for further refreshments. A fantastic day out.
