Day Excursions

We take a scenic journey of Essex passing through many villages including Lavenham, Britain’s best preserved medieval village. The climax of this trip is at the fantastic Fox Inn at Finchingfield, where a lovely light afternoon tea awaits you, before heading back to our local area.

This is a beautiful cruise which will take us out into the Solent and along the shoreline before heading into the Beaulieu River, birthplace of Lord Nelson’s Navy. An expert commentary from the captain on this 5 hour cruise describes the history of this beautiful area. A ploughman's lunch will be served onboard during the cruise plus afternoon tea & cake. A cracking day out.

Cromer is a traditional seaside resort, famous for its exquisite crab, lifeboat station and Pavilion Theatre. Its famous pier is an enduring example of Victorian architecture, having withstood many storms, tidal surges and even an attempt to blow it up by the government in WW2 to prevent it being used as a landing strip for enemy invaders!

The Eastbourne International Airshow, also called ‘Airbourne’, is now one of the the world’s biggest free seafront airshows which attracts nearly a million people over the weekend. The air display features military fast jets, helicopters, parachutists and incredible displays from aerobatics teams, and usually includes the Red Arrows.

Enjoy the home town of William Shakespeare for the day, where attractions of all kinds abound, but before we depart we are taken on a boat trip along a section of the River Avon, a perfect relaxing way to round off the day.
