Within Minehead itself there are beaches to explore, a fishing quarter, historic harbour, a 14th century church on the hill and the much photographed historic church steps. Take a stroll down the tree-lined Avenue and visit the selection of tea rooms, pubs and independent shops in the town centre. Or just take a seat and watch the world go by in the flower-filled Blenheim Gardens or on the seafront.

The Northfield Hotel
The Northfield Hotel is situated in breathtaking surroundings, whilst also offering comfort and high quality service. Located on the lower slopes of Northhill in Minehead, in nearly 2 acres of landscaped gardens reputed to have been laid out by Gertrude Jekyll. There are wonderful views from the elevated position from the coast to the Quantocks, Brendon hills and indeed Exmoor itself. The 30 bedrooms are well appointed for a comfortable stay with en-suite bath or shower, digital TV, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. In the evenings the restaurant serves a traditional, unpretentious British menu with three courses served. In addition there is a bar/lounge where snacks and drinks are served. On sunny days, the terrace is the perfect place to soak up the fresh sea air with a cold drink in hand, weather permitting.
