HELMINGHAM HALL GARDENS & STOWMARKET
We start our day with a visit to the lovely Helmingham Hall Gardens in Suffolk. Unfortunately, Helmingham Hall itself can only be admired from the outside as it is a private family house. However, don’t let this put you off as the exceptional gardens are a must for all those with green fingers. There is a cafe for refreshments (not included) and three shops at the property to browse. On completion of our visit we travel the short distance to Stowmarket for a while before heading home. A wonderful day out.
VINTAGE THAMES SAILING BARGE CRUISE, MALDON, INCLUDING CREAM TEA
Join us as we travel to Maldon in Essex for a voyage aboard a vintage Thames sailing barge, Hydrogen, built in 1906. Enjoy the sights during this 2 hour cruise. Upon arrival back at the Quay, a cream tea will be served for you to enjoy. The barge has a pay bar on board which accepts cards only.
JIMMY’S FARM & WILDLIFE PARK AND MALDON
Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is an award winning wildlife park, and rare breeds farm based in the heart of Suffolk. From pigs to polar bears the park is a centre of excellence for British rare breeds as well as home to camels, primates, tapir and crocodiles amongst other animals. After our visit here we make the short journey to the delightful Maldon with time to stroll through Promenade Park and along the waters edge to complete your day. Please note that due to the nature of the terrain, some paths in the wildlife park and farm are steep, uneven and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
