Day excursions

Today we visit The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace for a chance to discover the remarkable style of Britain’s longest reigning monarch through clothing worn in all ten decades of her life. From birth to adulthood, from princess to queen, and from off duty style to dressing for the global stage for momentous occasions in British history. Following our visit we make the short trip to Battersea Power Station on the south bank of the River Thames. This regenerated area now houses some fantastic restaurants and shops for you to enjoy before heading home.

Consider Yourself lucky, I’d Do Anything without Food Glorious Food to have the opportunity to experience Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s iconic musical, Oliver! It’s A Fine Life as we have stalls tickets for this amazing production at the Gielgud Theatre, with a sensational score including all your favourites.

Travel down to West Sussex for not one but two elegant and traditional seaside resorts. Firstly to Bognor Regis a quintessential English seaside resort. Then onto Littlehampton, with two award-winning beaches, the beautiful River Arun and a large seafront green making it a popular destination for all.

With a comfort stop en-route, we arrive in Aylesham where we take the narrow gauge steam train for an 18 mile journey through the Bure Valley to Wroxham. After arriving in Wroxham, we have time here to enjoy this beautiful village with the opportunity for a spot of lunch (not included). Then we travel onto Horning where we board the superb Mississippi river boat, The Southern Comfort, for a wonderful 1½ hour cruise on the Norfolk Broads.
