HIDDEN HERTFORDSHIRE AND RIVER CRUISE WITH LUNCH
We start our day with a visit to the Van Hage Garden Centre near Ware in Hertfordshire. Van Hage is more than just a Garden Centre; offering a treasure-trove of exciting and practical ideas for gardeners and home lovers. After a little time here we make the short journey to Ware Quay where we board our boat for the highlight of the tour. Your 3 hour cruise starts and finishes in the historic town of Ware and whilst onboard you will be served your delicious fish & chip lunch with tea & coffee and all the traditional condiments.
SANDWICH & DEAL
Our first stop will be in the beautiful town of Sandwich. Sandwich was one of the cinque ports and still has many original medieval buildings, including several listed public houses and gates in the old town walls, churches, almshouses and the white mill. After time here we will then make our way to the quaint, quirky and one of the most charming coastal towns in Kent, Deal.
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
A seafront amusement park, sand and shingle beaches, busy city centre and fish ‘n’ chip shops leading down to the country’s longest pier; Essex’s Southend-on-Sea has all the trappings of a classic British seaside resort.
KENT COUNTY SHOW
The Kent County Show is the region’s showcase event for farming, agriculture and countryside life. Various animals including horses, vintage vehicles, retail stands and much more converge on the stunning surroundings of the Kent Showground for a celebration of the best in the county.
HERNE BAY & WHITSTABLE
A wonderful day visiting two great Kentish seaside towns, firstly Herne Bay and then later we drive to Whitstable for the rest of the afternoon.
