Day excursions

Firstly we make our way to the St Pauls area, arriving around midday, where we stop for a short while for lunch or refreshments (not Included). We then meet our Blue Badge guide for a coach tour of Royal London, We track the story of royal residencies with lots of entertaining stories about the world’s most famous family. Our tour concludes at Buckingham Palace where upon arrival you will undertake a leisurely self guided tour of the State Apartments, which are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection. Please note that there is quite a lot of walking involved, so this trip is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

We travel to Portsmouth and the excellent Gunwharf Quays for a spot of shopping or sightseeing at this spectacular location. After time exploring all on offer, we take the lift up to Clouds Café, 105 metres high in the iconic Spinnaker Tower where our reserved tables await.

A day out to the charming Cotswolds, at a time when the summer flowers add colour to a stunning area of beautiful countryside, towns and villages. Our first port of call is the town of Stow on the Wold, at 800ft above sea level, the highest town in the Cotswolds. We then spend time in Moreton in Marsh before heading to the delightful town of Chipping Norton.

A visit to the spectacular Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens, near Horsham in Sussex. In 2019, Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens opened its doors after a closure of 10 years, this magnificent Grade I listed garden was nearly lost forever and has been the subject of the largest garden restoration in England and possibly Europe. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the ‘Finest Woodland Gardens in England’.

This beautiful cruise will take you out into the Solent and along the shoreline before heading up to the Beaulieu River, birthplace of Lord Nelson’s Navy. We also sail along the rivers Itchen, Test & Hamble giving you great views of 4 local rivers and the busy port of Southampton. As part of the cruise you will be offered commentary on the history of this lovely river by the captain along with the surrounding waters. Your day also includes a Ploughman’s lunch and afternoon coffee with cake.
