ESSEX COUNTRYSIDE & WATERWAYS WITH CREAM TEA
We explore the beautiful Essex countryside and villages before arriving at Paper Mill Lock, near Chelmsford. We then board our boat and enjoy a cruise along the glorious Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation. A cream tea will also be served whilst onboard.
HENLEY-ON-THAMES WITH RIVER CRUISE WITH REFRESHMENTS
Henley-on-Thames is one of the most beautiful towns in England and is internationally renowned for its annual Regatta, but offers so much more. After some time wandering the town, we board our boat to explore the beauty and history of the River Thames from the luxurious, glass encased saloon of Hibernia! On board you will receive delightful refreshments. A cash bar is available for further refreshments.
ARUNDEL AND THE MEDIEVAL CASTLE
Firstly we spend time in the small market town of Arundel in the South Downs National Park in West Sussex. Arundel combines 1000 years of history with independent shops, contemporary art galleries, restaurants, cafés and delightful drinking spots. Without a doubt, the most dominant structure is the impressive medieval castle which looms high on the hill above the town, there is plenty to discover in this fantastic castle.
RYDE – ISLE OF WIGHT BY HOVERCRAFT
We make our way to Portsmouth for the short Hovercraft crossing to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Once there, you will find a great range of things to do in the largest town on the Isle of Wight. From its well established shopping streets to coastal amusements there is something for everyone.
BATTLE, LUNCH AT THE STAR INN AND BEXHILL-ON-SEA
Firstly we take a visit to Battle with a little time to explore. We then continue our journey to the very popular Star Inn for a hearty lunch. After lunch we travel the short distance to Bexhill-on-Sea with its modern vintage shops, quirky places for art & music, and independent cafés which defy traditional seaside stereotypes. A lovely peaceful resort to wander or relax in for a short while.
