ELTON HALL HOUSE & GARDENS
Elton Hall near Peterborough has been called home by the Proby family since 1660. We start our day with light refreshments on arrival, before being escorted – in small groups - on a guided tour of this wonderful property. This extraordinary, romantic, part Gothic house offers a fascinating mixture of styles, reflecting the taste and interests of succeeding generations.
WHITSTABLE AND LUNCH AT THE DOG & DUCK
A visit to the Kent seaside town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters. After time here, we head to Plucks Gutter and a traditional three course lunch in this renowned public house, beautifully located on the river.
ELY ON MARKET DAY AND ST IVES
Firstly we travel to the Cathedral City of Ely for their craft, food and vintage market. After a couple of hours we will then visit the beautiful riverside town of St Ives.
BURY ST EDMUNDS & CHIPPENHAM PARK GARDENS
Firstly we visit Bury St Edmunds known for its fine shops, bars and cafés, along with a fine cathedral in the medieval quarter. After time here we travel the short distance to Chippenham Park Gardens and experience the stunning colours in the gardens, lakes & borders at this time of year. An excellent day out.
MAIL & RAIL AT THE LONDON POSTAL MUSEUM INCLUDING LUNCH
We travel into London to meet our top notch Blue Badge Guide for a day out covering all things postal. The very British story of sending a letter will unfold throughout the day. The day includes morning coffee, a short and level walking tour, fish & chip lunch, entrance to the Postal Museum and a ride on Mail Rail and more.
