Day Excursions

A scenic journey to Tenterden where free time is available prior to boarding the train to Bodiam and back where a traditional ploughman's lunch will be served en route. After some time to explore at Tenterden Station we return home via another scenic route.

One of the finest zoos in the world, with the emphasis on conservation, Colchester Zoo is renowned for its many breeding programmes. Enjoy the many rare and endangered species including tigers, primates, birds and lots more besides. A fantastic day out.

A little further afield today as we visit the beautiful coastal town of Sheringham on the North Norfolk Coast, arriving late morning, we have plenty of time to explore the Blue Flag Beach, the old town fishing haunts with numerous shops or perhaps a trip on the Steam Engine.

Travel down to West Sussex for not one but two elegant and traditional seaside resorts. Firstly to Bognor Regis a quintessential English seaside resort. Then onto Littlehampton, with two award-winning beaches, the beautiful River Arun and a large seafront green making it a popular destination for all.

We board the "Ocean Scene" for a delightful cruise down Southampton Water, and the Hamble River with its marinas, yachts and the location for the 80s classic TV series Howards' Way, with fish & chips on board. After the cruise, a little time in the city for sightseeing or shopping.
