William Morris and Epping Forest with Cream Tea – New Excursion

We travel the short journey to Walthamstow in East London where we meet our Blue Badge Guide who joins us for a uniquely informative and entertaining day exploring this valley of contrasts. Whilst there we visit the splendid Georgian childhood home of William Morris. After this we head through Epping Forest hearing about the long history of this ancient hunting ground and make our way to the genteel market town of Epping itself. Following time here we continue to Broxbourne where we board a broad beam boat for a 90 minute cruise on the River Lee which includes a cream tea as you watch life roll by.

Chelsworth Open Gardens – New Excursion

For over fifty years the small village of Chelsworth has opened many of its gardens to the public to raise funds for the local Grade 1 listed Church. Started in 1967, with a population of less than 140, in the Brett Valley between Constable country and Lavenham, it was the first of its kind: the first to open its gardens to the public. As well as wandering through more than 20 gardens with tea stops en-route, visitors can buy from specialised nurserymen, local food specialists and artisan crafts.
