Day Excursions

Firstly a visit to the ever popular Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, offering great shopping and plenty of cafes along with its Christmas market consisting of around 20-30 festive stalls. After time here we travel to Chiddingstone Castle. This grade II historic house set in 35 acres of informal gardens is the location for yet another Christmas market.

In the heart of historic Salisbury, amidst the medieval charm and architectural wonders, the city comes alive with a winter wonderland that captivates both locals and visitors alike.

A cosmopolitan fair featuring a wealth of antique and vintage choice. The event has up to 300 indoor stands, with hundreds more outside (weather permitting). Due to its location, many traders from the continent attend offering something different. With a great selection of jewellery, ceramics, furniture, fabulous garden goods and so much more, this is a weekend fair not to be missed.

Its Halloween folks, so why not join us for a mysterious trip through the remote landscape of Romney Marsh. We start with a short visit to Dobbies Garden Centre in Ashford. After time here we are joined by our guide who will provide commentary as we tour the wide horizons of Romney Marsh which is dotted with small villages, ancient churches and pubs. This was a big smuggling area where ghost stories were told to explain those mysterious bumps in the night.

Travel to Windsor and join our Blue Badge guide for a tour of the magnificent Castle. There will be time to buy refreshments beneath the castle walls before stepping inside the late Queen’s favourite residence. During the winter, there are fewer tourists which enables us to visit the Semi State apartments. You will also visit St George’s Chapel where you will see the resting place of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
