FOLKESTONE

Folkestone has had many incarnations – with a Roman, Georgian, Victorian and 20th century wartime history, it’s seen the lot from fashionable seaside resort to modern cultural cool. Today’s Folkestone is a buzzing town, full of creative outlets and great food, local beers and wine, beaches and shops, you name it, you can probably do it in Folkestone!

A grand day out at one of the UK’s most visited attractions, the holiday home of Queen Victoria who said “It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot”. Ferry times are 10.30am out and 6pm return, arriving back at approx. 9pm.

RAMSGATE & DEAL

Firstly a visit to the Kent seaside resort of Ramsgate where a bustling Royal Harbour borders a yacht-packed marina, awash with history and overflowing with continental charm, it’s a must-see historic port. After time here we travel on to the coastal town of Deal, which lies where the North Sea and the English Channel meet. Take a leisurely stroll along the pier and look back at a view that has barely altered in a century.
